Ryogoku Station is close to sites such as the Ryōgoku Kokugikan sumo stadium, the Edo-Tokyo Museum. The station is served by the JR East Chūō-Sōbu Line and the Toei Oedo Line

Kan'eiji(temple)


It is a prayer sites and family temple of the Tokugawa Shogun, six out of 15 people Tokugawa Shogun history is enshrined in Kan'eiji.   The temple has a vast site in Ueno area  Konponchudo    Taito-ku, Uenosakuragi chome 14-11 

 

 

  There are many tombstones in the surrounding area

  This is the tomb of Tokugawa Yoshinobu 15th shogun(Kan'eiji cemetery)


 
 There are many old  japanes houses in the surrounding area

Yanaka is called teramachi

Temples are concentrated in Yanaka.Damage is small in World War II, town-building legacy is left.
It is callde 'teramachi'(temple town). about  70 temples in yanaka
Foreigners enjoy the old streets of Japan

Ueno Toshogu( Shrine )

The Tōshō-gū at Ueno Park in Tokyo was built in 1616
It is one of the numerous shrines that are dedicated toTokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Edo Shogunate.  this photo is free area.  Admission fee is 500 yen
