Starting in 1870, the Tokyo government issued a permission and  they became the main mode of transportation in Japan. There was a rickshaw of over 200,000 units in Japan in the late 19th century. After the World War II,Rickshaw has been used only as a tourist attraction.Only Asakusa Kaminari-mon Gate in Tokyo
